Calling all children
There's plenty to occupy children at the Eco Fair - as well as the chance to find out about important issues they can also have a go on the giant floor piano (as can adults!), join in with our fab eco puppet activities, and have a wander around this lovely building. Bring a packed lunch if you want to stay for both the puppet show and the workshop - and enjoy light refreshments in the Tea Room...

Children’s Eco Puppet Theatre

FOREST OF FABLES is a tale woven from the dark depths of the forest using Japanese style bunraku puppets and scenery made from recycled materials. The show is accompanied by live African music and is a visual retelling of the ancient Greek fables of Aesop. The tales are chosen to illustrate changes in seasons and climate and their influence on the lives of animal characters and we go forwards and backwards in time.

Children’s Recycled Puppet Workshop

Places still available
The FOREST workshop shows children how to make their own puppet animal using recycled materials. Have fun learning the songs and rhythms with the puppeteers while creating your own distinctive character that can feature in the Forest of Fables show. Length 1 hour and 20 minutes (includes direction in manipulating puppets) Children can then take their puppets away and get puppeteering at home.
